Siobhan Burns will be returning in July to re-deliver a further series of workshops looking at consent embedding

Friday, May 29, 2026

Following on from our series of sessions held in February, Siobhan Burns will be returning in July to re-deliver a further series for those who were unable to attend. There will be a series of six half-day sessions available on the following dates:

  • Monday 20 July morning or afternoon session
  • Tuesday 21 July morning or afternoon session
  • Wednesday 22 July morning or afternoon sessions

These sessions will be looking at the Isle of Man Safeguarding Board’s multi-agency Consent Guidance and supports practitioners to strengthen their understanding of consent and how this links to effective safeguarding practice. The Consent Practise Guidance is a multi-agency guide on information sharing and decision making about parents or carers consent.

This training has been deemed as necessary for all practitioners who may work with parents or carers in any capacity.

The sessions will include reflection, discussion, and practical application to support confident decision-making in multi-agency safeguarding work.

To book a place on one of the sessions, visit the learning and development page, complete the booking form and email to: safeguardingboardtraining@gov.im.

A copy of the guidance can be located on the website here.
